Knollwood Village

Knollwood Village is one of the most affordable neighborhoods in Houston's inner loop. It is well known for its accessibility, peaceful atmosphere and safety, made secure by a private patrol detail.

Founded in 1954, Knollwood Village was once the site of Main Street Airport. Harking back to the early 1930s, the private airport closed two years before the current subdivision was founded.

Today, Knollwood Village occupies 108 acres. It lies just south of Braeswood Place and the Brays Bayou, west of the Medical Center and east of Meyerland. Some of the major thoroughfares immediately accessible from this neighborhood include South Main Street, South Braeswood Boulevard and Buffalo Speedway.

Due to its location, Knollwood Village offers the best of the big city. NRG Stadium is next door, promising year-round entertainment and events. Just a short drive away is Rice Village. The Uptown area and the Houston Galleria are just a 10-minute drive away. For a little outdoor recreation, Hermann Park, the Houston Zoo and Miller Outdoor Theater are two miles away.

Thanks to the community's deed restrictions, building and remodeling plans are sent to the Knollwood Village Civic Club's Architectural Control Committee for approval. This measure has kept the neighborhood's serene and charming vibe intact since it was founded more than 60 years ago.

All these qualities make Knollwood Village a very desirable place to live.
